Miliband: the betrayal of young voters is a disaster for democracy.

Ed Miliband warns today that young voters are in danger of being denied a vote in this and future general elections.


On National Voter Registration Day, Labour is publishing new data revealing a dramatic rise in the number of fall young people aged 16 to 18 losing their democratic rights.


This suggests that, from March to May 2015, the number of 16 to 18 year-olds being added to the electoral register will be down by over 100,000 compared to 2014.

A Joint hustings will take place on SATURDAY 25th JULY starting at 5.00pm at St.Roberts Parish Centre, 1-3 Robert Street, Harrogate HG1 1HP (Follow the A61 through town passing Harrogate Railway station on your left, just beyond is Waitrose where turn right into Robert Street)


Tom Watson will be meeting members from 5.00 to 5.45 when the hustings will start with representatives from the leadership candidates and Tom Watson
